Voices fill the head,/blurred words always/I peek through spaces/in stands of razor grass/so I feel content/not yet taught/to cheat the meanings/as we were still young./Later that night/as I set fire/ to a heap of old stakes./wrapped in dark blankets/by the river, Old Muddy/wands flare up like pointers /flaming in the air./
