The day before this one/ he walked from the East Side/examined a stain on his finger/his clothes bagged in plastic/ just there for the taking / it could not have been pleasant/he banks on phrases /gleaned from his television /readies a faithless anthem /a melody to remedy/his sense of reason/ his tunes all robbed him/ he was a source he told them/ soon to vanish completely
