Seldom Seen

Seldom have I seen/a day go by/without the routine/of rites of passage./ I pass out, go black from a talisman./I approach what’s going on /by talk and talk specific. /It goes something like this: /A dead partner, / once called the shots,/ for her in her apartment/ Alone at night /sports pages piled in a closet. /Ancient and unread, /there’s real danger /she won’t see through the conversation. /We are heir to a poison planet.Predestined by rules of ranting/ in no man’s land;/ghost barriers from constant lovers./They abide to swallow/come to grips in resurrection./They remember dust minus danger/it calls your attention to the annals.
